Review: In love with Urby Men's Slim Wallet

I reached home earlier this week to find an elegant Men’s Slim Leather Wallet from Urby waiting for me. The brand sent it for review a month back but since I was away, only now did I get hold of it. I would say it’s in perfect timing for the birthday and right when my old wallet had started eyeing its doomsday.

The wallet came encased in a drawstring bag which was further stored in a box for protection. The company does take care of how it delivers ensuring no damage to the product.

So often the products we receive on online purchases don’t match the photos on websites. But this Urby wallet that I received- the Paul Billfold Coin Wallet- looks exactly like it’s portrayed on the website. It has a superbly classy look to it and I was immediately impressed on opening the casing.

I asked for the Black Punch colour and the wallet came personalized with my name embossed on it. It sure looks as premium as they promised it would. Plus the fresh smell of leather adds to the feeling of holding something first-class in hand.

The wallet comes with 2 interior currency pockets (something that I consider really important so as to keep the notes segregated and which most new wallets in the market these days seem to not have), 3 card slots, 2 slip pockets and a very necessary coin pocket. There isn’t a plastic transparent pocket for passport photos like my old wallet but that’s okay considering it never offered any functional use apart from holding all my passport pictures since birth. :D

Even with all the pockets, the wallet doesn’t feel bulky in the back pocket of my pants. It is handmade in premium leather and the effort put into it is distinctly visible.

My old wallet has been in use for almost 5 years and the constant travelling and everyday use has left it tarnished. But I loved its design and hence wasn’t willing to do away with its comfort. Looks like finally there is a new wallet that I am in love with that can take its place. I just hope this new one remains as good as it looks right now over months of use. Urby gives a one-year material and craftsmanship guarantee which means they will repair it for free within a year, so that’s one worry sorted.

The best part perhaps is that the wallet or any of the other Urby products don’t come too heavy on the pocket (thanks to their direct manufacturing-selling process). If you are eyeing to buy a new slim wallet in the coming days do take a look at their premium but affordable collection.

  1. I had purchased an Urby Wallet.
This review seems to be FAKE as my experience has been really bad with URBY.

Firstly their wallet sizes are too large & the leather feels cheap and the personalization done on the wallet feels so cheap and looks horrible.
Their wallets feel like the local shop wallet. PLEASE READ THE T&C CLEARLY before making a purchase. My Return was denied.

Seems like they have invested very well in marketing but overlooking the quality of the product & Service which will help them retain customers in a long term.

    1. I'm sorry for your bad experience. I personally have been using this wallet for over a year now and it seems to be quite good. No issues yet :)
