Chatur's speech re-modified!

This is the speech that I made on the Teachers Day celebration at my college, with almost 4-5 hours of hardwork and help from my friends Kshitiz and Himali. Well, the best part about this was, for the first time ever I was able to make a mass audience laugh with my words and was not as nervous as I normally am when I go for public-speaking. Have a look:

"आदरणीय सभापति महोदया, माननीय शिक्षकगन और मेरे प्यारे सहपाठियों,

पिछले दस साल से आपने निरंतर इस कॉलेज में चमत्कार पे चमत्कार किये हैं. उम्मीद है आगे भी करते रहेंगे. हमें तो आश्चर्य होता है कि कुछ इंसान अपने कॉलेज लाइफ में इतने चमत्कार कैसे कर सकते हैं? आपने कड़ी तपस्या से अपने आप को इस काबिल बनाया है. वक़्त का सही उपयोग, bunk का शुभ इस्तेमाल, कोई आपसे सीखे. जो अर्थ का अनर्थ करने कि क्षमता आप में है, वो संसार में किसी के पास नहीं. एक बार जोर से तालियाँ बजाइए....मैं teachers कि नहीं, MBICEM के students की बात कर रहा हूँ, जो class में कम और canteen में ज्यादा नज़र आते हैं.

और इनको यहाँ पहुँचाने का श्रेया सिर्फ कुछ चुनिन्दा लोगों को जाता है: जी हाँ, MBICEM के teachers. नमस्कार. आपने इस संस्थान को वो चीज़ दी, जिसकी हमें सख्त ज़रूरत थी-- नहीं नहीं धन नहीं. ज्ञान! ज्ञान होता सबके पास है, मांगने पर देते

सब हैं, पर यहाँ पर तो teachers spiderman के web की तरह students को खीच-खीच कर पढ़ाते हैं.

आपने अपने अमूल्य ज्ञान को हम जैसे नालायक बच्चों को देने का कठिन परिश्रम किया है. धन्यवाद. अब आप देखिये हम कैसे इसका सदुपयोग करते हैं.......

शिक्षक एक मौमबत्ती कि तरह होते हैं, जो खुद को पिघला कर, students को रोशनी देते हैं.

Teachers play a vital role in our life, they selflessly impart their knowledge and enlighten us in every phase of our life. It is impossible to imagine our life without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future. We can never thank our teachers enough for their immense contribution in our life. I extend my heartiest gratitude to all our teachers. You will always be a source of inspiration in our lives. Thank you so much."
